What is eodc?

Eodc — the Earth Observation Data Centre — is a Vienna-based organisation that provides infrastructure and services for working with Earth observation data at scale. eodc operates a petabyte-scale data repository covering the full Copernicus Sentinel archive alongside a broad range of additional satellite missions, derived products, and geoscientific datasets.

Our mission is to translate complex Earth observation datasets into accessible, actionable information — lowering the barrier for researchers, institutions, and industry to work with large-scale EO data.

What we offer

Data access — The complete Copernicus Sentinel data archive (Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3) and a growing collection of derived and third-party datasets are discoverable through the eodc STAC catalogue. Data can be queried by bounding box, time range, and collection via standardised APIs, and loaded directly into Python workflows.

Cloud computing — Scalable compute sits directly alongside the data. JupyterHub provides an interactive notebook environment; Dask Gateway enables distributed processing across a cluster; Argo Workflows handles automated, containerised pipelines at scale — all without moving data to your own infrastructure.
