About eodc¶
eodc — the Earth Observation Data Centre — is a Vienna-based organisation that provides infrastructure and services for efficient access, processing, and analysis of Earth Observation (EO) data. eodc operates a petabyte-scale data repository covering the full Copernicus Sentinel archive and a broad range of additional satellite missions, EO-derived products, and geoscientific datasets.
Our mission is to translate complex EO data into accessible, actionable information, lowering the barriers for researchers, institutions, and industry to harness the full potential of large-scale EO data.
What we offer¶
Data access — The complete Copernicus Sentinel data archive (Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3) and a growing collection of EO-derived and third-party datasets are available through the eodc STAC catalogue. Data can be queried by bounding box, time range, and collection via standardised APIs, and accessed directly from Python workflows for seamless analysis.
Cloud computing — Scalable compute accompanies the data, eliminating the need to move large datasets to your own infrastructure. JupyterHub provides an interactive notebook environment, Dask Gateway enables distributed processing across clusters, and Argo Workflows orchestrates automated, containerised pipelines at scale, all within the same environment.
